Cherie Daly
Artist in Residence
Cherie Daly will be the artist in residence at Attune Body Management from December 1 to the end of February 2026. She will be the first of many local artists to have their work featured in our studio. She describes her process as playful and free. The work is left raw, retaining its energy and initial vitality. Not seeking perfection, she strives to find beauty in the unplanned while creating space for the viewer. Come see her vibrant, bold pieces in our space.
Cherie always dabbled in art but began to paint more seriously after enrolling in Central Tech’s Adult Art Program in 2016. After time at home with kids and various volunteer jobs, including sitting on the Beaches Rec Centre Advisory Council and helping with the Beaches Spring Sprint, she set to exploring various art medium: printmaking, life drawing, pottery and mixed media. But it was her passion for abstract painting that led her to individual teachers like Suzanne Metz. Suzanne teaches how to spark your creativity rather than focusing on techniques.
Cherie paints in a shared artists’ studio at 100 Sunrise Ave., Studio 106a in Toronto and in her custom-built studio at her cottage in Muskoka. When not painting, she can be found advocating for the Glen Stewart Ravine, walking along the Beach boardwalk, or through the woods in Muskoka with her dogs. She has three sons, who are now all out in the world doing their thing.
Her work has been exhibited at venues like the Federation Gallery Vancouver, the ADC Fine Art Show, Cincinnati and the Artist Project, Toronto. She belongs to the Artists’ Network and has work displayed in their Holiday Smalls show at Leslie Grove Gallery until January. Her studio open house is Dec 11 and 13.
She has listed her work at Attune on a separate page on her website, where you can also find her other work for sale.
